The 2023 REIS Real Estate Symposium, presented by the Real Estate Investment Society and Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) will be at FGCU on September 21st.

FGCU President Dr. Aysegul Timur and REIS Vice President Justin Thibaut will deliver opening comments, followed by insight on economic trends by Dr. Amir Neto, director of the Regional Economic Research Institute. A series of interactive panel discussions will address issues critical to sustaining economic growth, including workforce development, building material costs and supplies, and recovery of the hospitality industry.

The Workforce Development panel will be moderated by FGCU President Dr. Aysegul Timur and includes: Lee County School Superintendent Dr. Christopher Bernier;  Whitney Ryne, Assistant VP Workforce Education at Florida Southwestern State College; and Eileen Deluca, interim Chief Strategy and Program Innovation Officer at FGCU.
 
The Building Materials - Supply and Cost Issues panel includes Matt Arbuckle, Business Development and Land Manager for Vulcan Materials Company, and Dan Adams, VP South Florida with Stevens Construction.

The Hospitality Industry Recovery panel will be moderated by Sean Ellis of Roetzel & Andress and includes:  Brian Hamman, Chair of Lee County Board of County Commissioners;  Jackie Liszac, President of Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce;  Dana Souza, Sanibel City Manager;  and Tamara Pigott, executive director of Lee County Visitors and Convention Bureau.
