Lee County Port Authority will deliver an airports update, including expansion projects, COVID-19 impact on operations, and development projects in a free, live webcast. Acting Executive Director Ben Siegel will be the guest speaker.
Lee County Port Authority (LCPA) will deliver an overview of air transportation, COVID-19 impact on operations, as well as airport-related real development projects. The program will include passenger and air carrier information, project updates for Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field (FMY), as well as commercial real estate development at Skyplex. Following the presentation, Ben Siegel will respond to questions of specific interest to the real estate investment and development industry. Ben Siegel, CPA, CM, has served as interim executive director of Lee County Port Authority since November 2019 and is responsible for the administration, operations and development of RSW and FMY. He has been with LCPA since 1992 and is an experienced airport executive with an extensive background in business and finance. Under his leadership, the Lee County Port Authority finance team secured $327 million for RSW’s Midfield Terminal Complex, which was one of the largest issuances of financing in Lee County history. Current projects under his oversight are the Airport Control Tower and the Terminal Expansion Project.
