REIS Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships
FORT MYERS -- The
REIS Scholarship Foundation
, established by the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS), proudly announces the award of scholarships to
Sadrina McNew
and
Krista Adams,
both seniors at
Florida Gulf Coast University
(FGCU). Each scholarship provides $2,500 toward tuition and books. The REIS Scholarship Foundation is supported by contributions from the business community and REIS members.
Sadrina McNew is a senior, pursuing a degree in Business Finance with a minor in Real Estate. She has been on the Dean’s List every semester at FGCU and is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the Financial Managers Association. Sadrina plans to acquire a real estate license and follow a career in real estate or financing.
Krista Adams is also a senior, pursuing a degree in Finance with a minor in Real Estate. She has been on the Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters at FGCU and is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and the Financial Managers Association. She plans to earn a graduate degree and follow a career in real estate development.
In conjunction with the scholarships, McNew and Adams receive honorary membership in REIS, where they may attend meetings on a complimentary basis. “We welcome outstanding scholars like Sadrina and Krista to join us, to learn about the area’s commercial real estate industry, and develop relationships with members of the business community,” explained REIS President Sharon Jenkins-Owen.
The REIS Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit, registered 501(c)3 corporation which provides an opportunity for REIS members and others in the business community to make charitable donations to support worthy students at area colleges and universities. REIS manages the Scholarship Foundation and underwrites all operating costs, which allows 100% of donations to be distributed in scholarships. Information on contributing to the REIS Scholarship Foundation is available at the REIS web site:

or from Scholarship Chairman Shelton Weeks, PhD, (239) 590-7373.
