Lee County Goals and Challenges in 2019 will be addressed by Larry Kiker, chair of the Lee County Board of County Commissioners. The luncheon is sponsored by Chapman Insurance.
Commissioner Kiker’s presentation will focus on the County’s budget, coordination with municipal governments, infrastructure projects, and the County’s role in managing water resources. The Commissioner is also expected to discuss growth management, impact fees, and local legislative priorities in the upcoming Legislative Session. Following the presentation, Commissioner Kiker will respond to questions of specific interest to the real estate investment and development industry.
Commissioner Kiker is also chairman of the Board of Port Commissioners, which governs the Lee County Port Authority. He represents Lee County Commission District 3, which includes south Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs. He owns Lahaina Realty at Fort Myers Beach, where he served as mayor for five years.
The meeting is sponsored by Chapman Insurance and will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12th in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse, on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75 exit 136 in Fort Myers. Admission is $30.00 for members and $40.00 for guests, which includes lunch. Reservations are required by February 7th.
