City of Fort Myers Mayor Randall P. Henderson, Jr., presents updates on major development projects and reviews incentive programs and opportunities for continued development at the January 8th luncheon meeting of the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS). The program will include information on the ways that public-private partnerships, infrastructure improvements, and zoning and tax incentives are stimulating mixed-use infill development in the urban area. The Mayor will also explain how the Fort Myers / Lee County Enterprise Zone, in conjunction with the Redevelopment Districts and a vision for Midtown Redevelopment, pave the way for new projects surrounding the historic River District. After his presentation, Mayor Henderson will respond to specific questions from the attending real estate development and investment professionals. Mayor Henderson is a former banker and operates Corbin Henderson Company, a real estate development, brokerage, and management firm. He has served as mayor since 2009, having served on the City Council for 9 years prior to becoming mayor. The meeting is sponsored by Sallee Promotions and will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8th in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse, on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75 exit 136 in Fort Myers.
