The impact of sporting events and facilities on business growth in Southwest Florida will be presented by Jeff Mielke, executive director of Lee County Sports Development, at the August 14th meeting of the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS).
The Sports Development department was created in 2003 to recruit major sporting events and promote sports tourism with the goal of growing the local economy. Mr. Mielke will report on the program’s services, recent accomplishments, and the strategy for the future. After his presentation, Mr. Mielke will respond to questions from the attending real estate development and investment professionals.
The meeting is sponsored by Stantec, and will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14th in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse, on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75 exit 136 in Fort Myers. Admission is $30.00 for members and $40.00 for guests, which includes lunch. Reservations are required by August 9th. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
