Southwest Florida’s Real Estate Investment Society (REIS) will look at the latest tourism trends and promotional strategies and their importance to economic development at the group’s July 13th luncheon meeting. Tamara Pigott, Executive Director of Lee County’s Visitor & Convention Bureau will be the guest speaker. Tourism is a primary component of the region’s economy and a major catalyst for population growth and real estate development. Director Pigott will be addressing the key issues now facing the industry, including crisis management strategies, international markets, eco-tourism, airline expansion, and environmental factors. Following the presentation, Tamara Pigott will respond to questions of specific interest to the real estate and business community. The meeting is sponsored by Stevens Construction, and will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13th in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse, on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75 exit 136 in Fort Myers.
