Baseball Stadium Development Plans to be Revealed
Development plans for Lee County’s new baseball stadium for the Boston Red Sox will be revealed at the September 8
th
meeting of the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS). Bob Koenig of Kraft Construction Company, the construction manager for the project, will
present the latest plans and designs for the project, to be developed on Daniels Parkway, east of I-75 in Fort Myers.
The Red Sox training facility will include a 10,000 seat, state-of-the-art ballpark, training fields and facilities, parking and amenities. The stadium is intended to mirror historic Fenway Park in Boston, while reflecting the architectural heritage of Southwest Florida. The $75 million project must go through an extensive approval and permitting process prior to the start of construction, slated to begin next June. The facility is supposed to be ready for spring training in 2012. Koenig will provide an update on permitting progress and construction schedules.
Following the presentation, Koenig will address questions of specific interest to the local real estate investment and development industry.
The meeting is sponsored by Pavese Law Firmand will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8th in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse, on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75 exit 136 in Fort Myers. Admission is $25.00 for members and $35.00 for guests, which includes lunch. Reservations are required by September 2
nd
and may be made at the REIS web site: www.reis-swfl.org.
