Real Estate Investment Society appoints Bill Burdette as Executive Director
FORT MYERS – Bill Burdette has been named Executive Director of the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS), a professional organization serving the real estate investment and development professions in Southwest Florida. REIS President Kevin M. Fitzgerald announced the appointment, noting that “The REIS officers and governors are pleased to name Mr. Burdette to this important position. The appointment recognizes Burdette’s longstanding dedication and valuable contributions to our success.” Bill Burdette has been a member of REIS for 25 years, during which time he has been newsletter editor, overseen membership development, managed the website and communications, publicized events, and served as marketing consultant. He is also president of Burdette Marketing & Communications, Inc., an independent advertising agency founded in 1981. The Real Estate Investment Society is a 250-member organization dedicated to assisting members in the effective utilization of real estate through networking, education, public service, and a common voice on pertinent issues. The membership represents a broad spectrum of real estate, environmental, financial, legal, design, construction, marketing and management companies. REIS luncheon meetings convene at 11:30 on the second Tuesday of each month, at Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers, to network and discuss current civic and business issues affecting the commercial real estate and development industry.
