"Taking Control of Estero's Future." Mayor Nick Batos of the newly formed Village of Estero will address the town's priorities and growth management plans. Sponsored by Pepitone Properties Corp. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
Mayor Nick Batos of the newly formed Village of Estero will address Estero’s priorities and approach to growth management at the Real Estate Investment Society’s (REIS) April 14th luncheon meeting. The council members conducted their first meeting on March 17, electing Nick Batos as the first mayor of Florida’s newest city. Estero is one of the hottest growth areas in the region and growth management has been a driving force in the campaign for incorporation. Future development will be a primary topic in the Mayor’s presentation. Estero community leaders have produced a report on the commercial land market and brought forth concepts for development of a town center and a healthcare village, which are also expected to be discussed. Mayor Batos has been actively involved in the Estero Council of Community Leaders, Estero Community Planning Panel, and the drive to incorporate. Before moving to Estero in 2002 and becoming involved in a wide range of civic organizations, Nick Batos worked in the hospitality industry, managing prestigious hotels and country clubs in the New York City area. Following the presentation, the Mayor will respond to questions of specific interest to the real estate investment and development industry. The meeting is sponsored by Pepitone Properties Corp. and will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14th in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse, on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75 exit 136 in Fort Myers. Admission is $30.00 for members and $40.00 for guests, which includes lunch. Reservations are required by April 8th and may be made at the REIS web site. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
