Real Estate Investment Society
Donates $2,500 to Special Equestrians
FORT MYERS -- The Real Estate Investment Society (REIS) announces the donation of $2,500 to Special Equestrians, a therapeutic riding facility serving Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties. The award was presented to Special Equestrians at the REIS December 8th luncheon meeting.
Special Equestrians, Inc. is a horseback riding program which provides therapeutic riding to mentally and physically-challenged children and adults at its NARHA Premier Accredited Therapeutic Riding Facility located in Fort Myers. Special Equestrians is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt public charity that is solely supported by contributions from individuals, corporations, civic organizations, private grants, and service fees. It is an all volunteer self-administrative organization, allowing 100% of all contributions to go directly to the support of the program. The REIS donation will be used to improve the organization’s 10 acre farm in the Buckingham area of Fort Myers.
Sharon Jenkins-Owen, President of REIS, presented the donation and noted that, “REIS, on behalf of the real estate investment and development industry, applauds the work of Special Equestrians and is proud to be able to support its continued service to the community.” REIS is an independent professional organization, dedicated to assisting members in the effective utilization of real estate through networking, education, public service, and a common voice on pertinent issues. Further information on REIS, its charitable donation policies, and upcoming programs is available at www.reis-swfl.org.
